MURALS

The murals project has been developed directly in response to community feedback. The project aims to uplift our public spaces and reflect the uniqueness of each area.

With the help of our local communities we have identified a series of locations at Maryland,Forest Gate and Manor Park. We are in the process of securing permissions for walls from the various landowners.

We will be working with a range of exceptional street artists, both local and international, to create the best artwork for Newham.

Our local communities will be involved in developing designs for the murals and will help us choose the final artwork.

We aim to have our first mural completed by spring 2017!

SHUTTERS & SHOPFRONTS

The shutters and shopfronts project will focus on uplifting the visual appearance of local shops and businesses. The project will deliver new artwork on shutters to create more interesting shopfronts when shops are closed. This aims to improve the night time appeal of the street and generate interest in the local area. If you are a local business or know of any shops that would benefit from exciting new artwork such as the example opposite, please get in touch using the button below.

HEROES OF NEWHAM

A spin off project of our Murals and Shopfronts projects, Mural Land looks to celebrate local figures in the community from the past, present and future.

We are looking for nominations for our first walls in the area - please get in touch and let us know who you think should be recognised for their achievements.

BLUE PLAQUES OF NEWHAM

The Blue Plaques of Newham

For every registration, we will be entering people into a monthly prize draw to win a blue plaque that references the people that used to live in their home.

BT Artbox

Mural Land has teamed up with BT to identify local community groups and artists to adopt and paint the green BT patch panel boxes on their street.

If you are an artist or a local community group who would like to adopt a green BT patch panel box (not to be confused with the similar looking Virgin Media green boxes), please get in touch using the button below.
